Digital Transcription Explained
Digital transcription is the recording of the spoken word (for example, a dictated memo or lecture) onto a digital recording device. The recording is then downloaded onto a PC or laptop as an audio file.
In this format, it can be e-mailed to the typist for transcribing.
The typist can then e-mail the document in typed format (such as a Word document or text file) back to the owner of the recorded material.
This Digital Transcription service can type files recorded in MP3, WMA and WAV format.
If your files are in another format (such as DSS), you can submit the enquiry form below with details of the file format as it is possible for us to convert certain formats with digital software before being typed.
True Verbatim
Recordings can be transcribed word-for-word to include non-verbal utterances (such as "erm" or "er"), pauses and stutters.
Please indicate if you would like to have your recording transcribed in true verbatim format on the enquiry form below.
Intelligent Verbatim
Recordings can be transcribed word-for-word but excluding non-verbal utterances, pauses and stutters.
If this is what you require, please indicate intelligent verbatim on the enquiry form below.
